Johnson Electric (JE) is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for an HR Business Partner for our Vandalia, OH location. This is an exciting opportunity for The HR business partner to lead and collaborate with site leadership to drive cultural and social responsibility initiatives. You will implement cultural transformation initiatives and interface with leaders at a variety of levels. Provide our site leaders with strategic and tactical HR support. We are looking for someone with a commitment to forging strong partnerships, continually improving our processes, and strengthening our team. Our ideal candidates should have solid experience with HR practices and employee engagement. You will communicate with senior managers to express new ideas and suggest solutions, considering budget limitations and our company culture.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provides strategic direction and input to business leaders regarding overall human capital strategies that support the culture, company direction, and needs of the business and employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand, resolve, and remove barriers that impact a department or employee from being able to perform at their best.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement departmental procedures and company policies to effect continual improvements throughout company.
  • Handle benefits administration - Participate in annual benefit open enrollment process working with C&B Manager.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and problems.
  • Provide expert and objective advice.
  • Coaching counsel to leaders and employees on HR policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate/assist with company-wide committees such as MARBLE Values committee.
  • Lead day-to-day HR activities: employee relations, corporate policies/programs/procedures, change management, etc.
  • Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
  • Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements.
  • Analyze trends and metrics with the HR department.

Our Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR within a manufacturing environment

Would Be Advantageous:

  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Strategic mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to relate and communicate with all levels of employees through excellent listening and communication skills that engender trust and support
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of Employment Laws
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
  • Local candidate preferred
