Currently, our Automotive Glass Replacement division seeks a customer-oriented professional individual to fill an immediate HR Administrative Assistant position at our Phoenix Distribution Center. This position is responsible for HR functions for AGR field and distribution center locations including providing support to the HR Department including oversight of the Kronos payroll system for the Distribution Centers and the field locations, reporting of KPIs, tracking headcount requisitions, verifying completion of new hire paperwork, responding to unemployment claims, maintaining certain legal and policy requirements (I-9, short-term disability, FMLA, etc.), filing, and other duties, as assigned.

Primary Duties

· Support HR Department which includes HR Director, EH&S Manager, and HR Managers

· Process new hires, employee changes, and terminations; coordinate/track paperwork for new hires

· Back up for processing hourly payroll on a weekly basis; act as a contact for the field offices and Distribution Centers to answer questions and correct payroll issues

· Confidentially maintain employee files and records including database

· Coordinate/track hourly and salary employee requisitions

· Obtain Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) for new hires and post accident requests

· Coordinate recruiting process with outside staffing services

· Assist with distribution of service and safety awards

· Function as a member of the Distribution Center Safety Team

· Confidentially deal with salary and hourly compensation

· Coordinate/track paperwork for short-term disability and FMLA cases

· Complete the hourly automatic and merit increases, ensuring proper increases are given on specific dates

· Complete headcount reporting and KPI metrics (overtime, turnover, absenteeism), resolving problems and answering questions to ensure accurate reporting

· Assist the Department with the recruitment process Answer questions from AGR field employees and management regarding policies and procedures

· Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications Required:

· High school diploma and 3 years administrative experience, preferably in an HR environment

· Proficient in the English/Spanish language (verbal and written)

· Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint), Internet, and e-mail

· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Excels in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently

· Able to manage multiple tasks in an accurate, complete and timely fashion

· Must possess valid driver’s license and maintain acceptable MVR according to AGR’s standards

· Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business conduct and Its Values and Principles

Qualifications Desired:

· Associate degree in an HR-related field of study

· Prior experience in a multi-site business

· Prior experience with various computer software systems
