Housing University Administrative Assistant - (Grant funded) Job at Baltimore Healthy Start, Inc.
Position Overview: The Housing University Administrative Assistant is responsible for registering students, tracking enrollees, scheduling classes and students, preparing purchase orders for funds, and managing all administrative tasks related to the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Register students, track enrollees, prepare class schedules and calendar
- Interview and process applications for new participants according to program guidelines
- Manage eviction and exterminating funding requests submitted according to procedures
- Track enrollees and completion of courses
- Create, update and distribute calendar as needed to include all trainings and speakers
- Create and submit purchase orders in line with established procedure and ensure receipt
- Contact instructors for the University, send confirmation, as directed by the Housing University Director
- Prepare and submit all required reports by deadline
- Support site and office operations as outline in the protocol
- Manage administrative tasks related to the Housing University
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 2 years Administrative Assistant experience
· Experience working in housing/property management a plus
Essential Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to follow directions and procedures
· Computer proficiency in excel Microsoft office programs to make calendars, and track clients that receive stipends, eviction prevention funds, exterminating and house cleaning support.
· Can do Attitude
· Ability to manage funds and receipts
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
· Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk; climb stairs, and sit for long periods; use hands & fingers for writing and typing; close vision for reviewing documents on the computer or hardcopy.
Licenses, Registrations and Certificates:
Valid MD Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
