As a Houseman for the Hotel Oceana Santa Monica, you are there to help maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for our guests. The Housekeeper is a vital part of helping achieve high guest satisfaction through the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel’s common areas.

The How…

Your focus is on the public spaces throughout the hotel, such as the patio and pool areas, lobby, hallways, restrooms, fitness studio, spa, and grounds, always keeping them neat and tidy. You also help maintain the housekeeping supplies and carts, stocking and restocking throughout the day.

Your friendly and efficient approach is perfect when engaging with guests while working around the property, and you can answer guests’ questions and direct them about the hotel as needed. You are committed to creating a safe environment for our guests and employees with a safety-first approach to everything you do.

While prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial positions is helpful for your success, it’s not necessary. We will show you how to maintain the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness.

The Details…

You will work full-time Monday through Friday.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour.

New employees accrue 40 hours of vacation in the first year and earn 72 hours of paid sick leave per year.
