Housekeeper

Job Description:The ideal candidate must be a hardworking, detail-oriented, and thorough individual who understands and models customer service best practices, keeps assigned areas in clean and orderly condition and works effectively with fellow employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Comply with mandatory safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
• Ensure all assigned areas are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and dining areas
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Notify supervisor of necessary repairs
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate with supervisor and co-workers in a courteous and respectful manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with school community

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 35 pounds at a time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
