Attendant Essential Job Duties

1. Loading cart with all essential supplies.

2. Making guests’ beds, including sofa sleeper beds.

3. Clean out garbage cans.

4. Cleaning bathrooms-use the correct disinfecting supplies.

a. Vanity counters and mirrors.

b. Shower, do not leave any soap or scum residue.

c. Toilets.

d. Floors.

5. Dusting furniture, fixtures, pictures, woodwork, TVs, phones, and baseboards.

6. Vacuuming rooms, including edging.

7. Refrigerators-clean inside and outside, do not leave any food residue.

8. Clean window sills and lock windows.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Employees are responsible for complying with all Safety and Security policies.

Housekeeping Physical Requirements

1. Firm and simple grasping is required for all aspects of work.

2. Standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling is required up to 80% of the normal work period while performing essential tasks.

3. Reaching above shoulder up to 70% of the normal work period and may be combined with other activities such as pulling, pushing, and bending.

4. Crouching and kneeling are required for about 30% of the normal work period, particularly when cleaning the shower and bathroom floors.

5. Pushing and pulling actions are required for more than 60% of the normal work period for dusting, vacuuming, and moving supply carts, etc.

6. Lifting of supplies such as linens, vacuums, and more occurs on a regular basis, normally not more than 25 pounds.

7. Crawling is required on occasion, along with climbing stairs. Workers may lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
