About the Position:
East Bay Innovations is seeking an individual to assist with agency wide recruitment and hire of direct support professionals. Person must have excellent organization, communication, and problem solving skills, and must excel in a team environment.

Duties: *
- Reviews resumes, completes phone screenings, schedules interviews, conducts interviews, processes reference checks, and finalizes new employee intakes as needed by EBI and its corresponding departments
- Maintains a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Maintains familiarity with each direct support position and effectively communicates the details of direct support positions to applicants
- Effectively communicate EBI’s mission and philosophy to applicants
- Trains with departments as necessary in order to fully understand department needs
- Works closely and collaboratively with supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective hiring practices
- Assist with DOJ and DMV requirements of pre employment
- Creates and maintains hiring tools, tracking documents as needed by EBI and its corresponding departments to best facilitate a successful hiring process
- Trains management employees on the hiring process as needed and directed by supervisor
- Works with the directors and administration to maintain up to date job descriptions and essential functions for each of the positions within the departments
- Assists and coordinates hiring process for EBI and its corresponding departments as directed by supervisor
- Works effectively with each EBI department and its management team, collaborating and communicating consistently by phone and email
- Attends community recruitment and hiring events to promote employment and the mission of EBI

Work Schedule: *
This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
Salary: $27.84 per hour

Qualifications: *
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or human resources management preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in recruiting.
- An understanding and commitment to the philosophy of independence, inclusion, and person-centered services for all members of our community.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to make independent judgments with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience with the hiring and recruiting process.
- Experience in basic bookkeeping, database management, reporting, and documentation procedures. Experience with Google apps and Microsoft Excel. A commitment to confidentiality and employee support
