MCFI Home Care is a nonprofit organization committed to helping people live more independently. MCFI Home Care staff provide a wide variety of services to clients all across Wisconsin. As a staff member, you will be a valuable part of ensuring that our clients maintain their independence at home and in the community. Responsibilities
Caregivers assist clients with:

• Personal Care
• Advanced personal care
• Medical assistance personal care
• Supportive home care
• Respite and companionship

Assigned tasks can include grooming, dressing, bathing and hygiene, laundry, cooking, light housekeeping, help with oxygen, ostomy bag cleaning, and transporting to and from medical appointments.

Upon hire, caregivers are expected to learn about client rights and characteristics of the population we serve. Caregivers are responsible for communicating with the registered nurse supervisor and the interdisciplinary team as necessary about their client’s condition and progress.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A high level of patience and a positive, caring attitude
• The ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care to clients
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients and staff
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of clients
• Physical demands may include moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling around the client. Certain tasks may be done with the assistance of equipment such as wheelchairs, lifting devices and specialized beds.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle are not required. Applicants with a valid driver’s license and vehicle have the opportunity to pick up additional hours for clients who require transportation services.
