Team Leader

Key Results Areas:
1. Leadership - A great leader leads by example. Their work ethic, honesty, and dependability must set an example for the team they lead. A successful Riverside Custom Hardscapes team leader will do the following:
- Give clear instructions, encouraging team members when they do something right, and give calm course corrections when they do something wrong.
- Delegate tasks to team members based on knowledge and skill level.
- Think 2-3 steps ahead when delegating tasks to team members so the work is done efficiently.
- Check behind team members to ensure their work meets the high quality standards of this company.
- Look for ways to improve installation methods and practices to increase quality and save time.
- Ensure proper precautions are taken and safety gear is used to protect the safety and health of the team.
2. Project Management - Every project performed by Riverside Custom Hardscapes is unique. Because of this, the challenges of each project are different.
A successful Riverside Custom Hardscapes project manager will do the following:
- Exercise strong attention to detail to produce a finished product surpassing our competition.
- Manage the project schedule to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and, most importantly, in keeping with our high standards of quality.
- Plan ahead so all necessary materials are ordered in time to be delivered to the project before they are needed.
- Exercise good judgement and problem solving skills when dealing with unforeseen problems that arise on the project (ie: unmarked underground lines, etc.)
- Learn to master installation techniques which quickly and efficiently produce premium quality results by continuously improving knowledge and gaining education of the tasks we are performing.
3. Personal Conduct - We hold ourselves to a high standard of integrity. This affects our interaction with each other, the customer, and other people we come in contact with in the course of our work.
Each Riverside Custom Hardscapes team member should display the following:
- Cleanliness - Keep the job site clean out of respect for the customer
- Decisiveness - Identify and implement solutions to problems that arise on the job site in keeping with our standards of quality and excellence

- Responsibility - Keep vehicles, machinery, and tools in good repair and working order
Requirements for Hire:
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Strong mathematical skills
- Experience operating various small engine equipment
- Experience working outdoors during both hot and cold seasons
- Ability to safely operate and back up a truck and trailer
Compensation:
- Paid overtime for work in excess of 40 hours per week at 1 1/2 times regular pay rate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
