Position Summary:
- Responsible for providing customer service to all ADM users including cabling, server farm installations, equipment room design, wireless LAN deployment, phones, multifunction devices, troubleshooting, and monitoring trouble ticket systems.
- Under General Supervision and using established procedures and policies, applies developed skills and knowledge to identify, document, investigate, research, and resolve hardware questions and problems in a timely manner while maintaining positive relationships with users and Peer Operation teams
- Work with end users and business partners to ensure the uninterrupted running of GT (Global Technology) Network appliances, Voice and data infrastructure and associated computer equipment.
- Assure full understanding and support of ADM BIG Rocks along with GT Operating model and support model
- Assure full understanding and support for MFG Industry 4.0/Project Aurora initiative as part of 1Adm
- Intermediate knowledge of handling problem requests and work orders.
- Intermediate knowledge required to support medium level application specific problems
- Create and maintain positive relationships within user base to ensure support processes meet customer needs.
- Create and maintain infrastructure projects to ensure timelines and schedules are met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with Technology Leaders, MADJV (Mergers, Acquistions, Divestitures, and Joint Ventures), Teams, GT Plant Teams and MFG OT (Operations Technology) and Automation teams for proper day to day Operational support and request workflows.
- Monitor day to day Operations ticket flows and team members communications to assure alignment to the FMO GT Operating model.
- Create and maintain special requests & projects, and high-level work order request
- Be Accountable for Project Implementation transition to the proper support organizations thru proper documentation and Knowledge transfer
- Intermediate knowledge of order and inventory applications for receiving, Creating, closing work tickets and trouble tickets.
- Intermediate knowledge required to support medium level application specific problems
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and effectively utilize available resources to resolve problems.
- Create and maintain positive relationships within the various IT support groups to meet needs and develop good working links. Ability to work well within groups to meet GT department directions and goals.
- Understand, explain, and assist with adherence of internal policy as it pertains to the group and user/customer base.
- Working with campus sites and local departments for company end user moves.
- Skillful knowledge WAN/LAN cabling installation practices
- Order and configure PC’s and other related IT equipment.
- Work with 3rd party vendors on escalated issues
- Share knowledge of Technology risks and improvement opportunities to help improve efficiencies and effectiveness to our Global GT Support and MFG Support.
- Maintains a Positive work environment through Teamwork & Proper Conflict Resolutions
- Assist users on the in all environments with GT technical issues and support
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, strong ability to translate technical verbiage into easily understandable language for non-technical audiences.
- Expected to provide periodic status reports as needed/requested.
Job Requirements:
- Strong Analytical, Organizational, Time Management, Facilitation and Process Management skills required
- IT infrastructure cabling experience and Project Management is required.
- Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of employees in a professional manner
- Demonstrate High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate Technical and Non-Technical Information, Ideas, Procedures & Processes.
- Ability and Willingness to travel by Auto and Air as needed to achieve Business Objectives
- Exhibits Ability to work in both a team environment and independently as needed
- Ability to Evaluate/Negotiate Team priorities while adapting to New/Evolving Individual and Team Assignments as changes are required
- 4 Year degree in an IT related field or additional years of equivalent IT work experience.
- Effective Oral/Written Communications Skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows 10 required.
- Proficient in Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 – 2019, and Red Hat/Oracle Linux 5-8 preferred.
- Extended periods of sitting and keyboard operations. System outage windows will require occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work. Participation in on call rotation required. Must be located within a 45-minute commute. Occasional air travel may be required.
- Lifting 50lbs or more, climbing ladders, crawling in tight spaces, walking, standing kneeling, for extended periods of time. Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) working in extreme heat and cold environments.
- 24/7/365 On call required
- Some Travel required
