Overview:
This role requires a superstar performer to play a pivotal role ensuring that PowerSchool is positioned as the clear SaaS leader in the K-12 space. This executive will lead a team of Solution Marketing professionals to craft world-class positioning, messaging, content, and competitive analysis and be a key spokesperson for PowerSchool at events, in briefings with industry analysts, and in sales cycles. This leader will need to roll up the sleeves to manage and successfully drive projects, working together with the CMO, Product leaders, Sales leadership, and SLTs. Responsibilities:

The
Group Vice President, Solution Marketing, is a proven senior marketing executive who will oversee the Solution Marketing (SoMa) team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The successful leader will be responsible for scaling the existing SoMa organization by setting the vision and turning it into action. This executive will have built, scaled, or ran Global Solution Marketing teams within the technology space. The GVP will articulate a clear, consistent, and compelling value proposition for our solutions in our target markets, including being the external evangelist for our solutions in the marketplace.

Provide world-class deliverables to ensure we differentiate PowerSchool in the market and equip sales team to win. Key deliverables include:
- Product positioning and messaging for PowerSchool portfolio
- Content to enable Sales team
- Delivery of content to enable sales and measurement of effectiveness
- Competitive positioning
Provide ‘Voice of Market’ influence on:
Product roadmap- Product strategy
- Influence product bookings and ARR performance
Impact This Leader Will Make
- Lead and Scale: Elevate a team of Solution Marketing professionals capable of driving initiatives across the company. Provide a well-defined career path for team members.
- Know the Market: Expert in market dynamics, being able to anticipate market trends, customer needs and the required strategy to maintain our market leading position. Develop competitive intelligence, threat assessment, actionable insight and associated tactical recommendations.
- Impact the execution of PowerSchool’s Go-To-Market strategy: In partnership with marketing campaigns leadership, support and prioritize campaigns to deliver overall pipeline and bookings numbers by solution.
- Marketing Messaging: Partner with Marketing Exec Team to develop and build positioning and messaging that resonates as the K-12 market leader.
- Enable the Sales Team: Develop sales enablement content; provide guidance to the sales enablement team to ensure they are equipped to execute sales plays in the market.
- Evangelize: Be the industry expert and a visible presence in the market for our solutions that positively influences our Sales, Partner, Customer and Analyst communities.

Qualifications include:
- 15+ years’ experience in leading a global solution or product marketing team
- Proven ability to lead and scale with strategy and translate into execution through a customer-first lens
- Sense of urgency and passion for winning
- Strong visionary with an eye on the future
- Driven by intellectual curiosity and independent thinking
- Proven ability to own full P&L for a solution set and the associated market strategies to achieve revenue goals
- Public company experience, at a senior leadership level, preferred
- Compelling and effective communication, cross-functionally and at all levels
- Highly collaborative with a deep sense of ownership and accountability

- Travel, as required, to headquarters and PowerSchool events

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $200,000 – $275,000. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
