Position Title: Grant Writing and Communications Manager Status: Exempt

Location: Batavia, NY or Mount Morris, NY

Program: Administration Department: Public Relations

Summary:

The Manager of Public Relations will work as at team member of the Public Relations and Community Relations Department with a focus on grant writing, fundraising, and agency marketing materials.

Essential Functions:

· Manages the agencies grant writing, to include basic research, developing proposals, writing proposals, compiling all required information for submission and submits reports for all grant funded projects.

· Assists in design and writing of marketing materials, in creation of digital, video, audio and print content.

· Assists in planning, developing, implementing and organizing events and volunteers.

· Assists in fundraising, membership drives and special events.

· Attends and coordinates various committee meetings to include taking meeting minutes.

· Assists in the implementation of the marketing plan strategies.

· Manages all social media outlets to include taking photographs at various events and managing media consent forms.

· Assists in updating Website.

Non-Essential Functions:

Participates in quality assurance and compliance activities as required.

Reporting Responsibilities: Director of Public Relations

Supervisory Responsibilities: None exercised

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Experience in Grant Writing

· Must be able to meet deadlines

· Excellent communication, creative writing and graphic design skills

· Experience in grant writing

· Excellent verbal and written skills

· Excellent organizational and computer skills

· Must be able to work in a fast paced and team driven environment

· Must be able to travel within the GLOW region

· All other duties assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use standard office equipment including personal computer, phone, fax, copier, etc.
  • Ability to speak and listen

· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to sit, stand, stoop, climb, push and pull

· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication, marketing or non-profit management

· Will consider alternate combinations of education and experience in the presence of desired skill set.

· Valid NYS driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time
