An opportunity to be a part of the Mott McDonald (MM) Rail systems team that performs planning and implementation of Asset Management System (AMS) projects in Rail Transit Sector.
Responsibilities:
An opportunity to be a part of the Mott McDonald (MM) Rail systems team that performs planning and implementation of Asset Management System (AMS) projects in Rail Transit Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the MM team and will be responsible for assisting with planning, researching, and developing Asset Management Systems.
- The candidate is intended to build knowledge on rail systems and asset management through exposure of day-to-day activities at a metropolitan transit agency.
- To assist managing projects with tasks that may include including planning, inspections, data collection, and analysis.
- To reviews asset data information in asset data software and systems for quality assurance
- Develops and implements processes for data integrity. Works closely with corporate stakeholders to develop standardized asset data processes.
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams in all aspect of rail systems activities
- Assist with the program management plan preparation such as the development of stakeholder register, communications plan, risk register etc.
- To attend reoccurring leadership team meetings and help prepare action items.
- Assisting with administrative, research and technical tasks.
- Candidate will have the opportunity to immediately be part of a delivery team, but also expand knowledge of rail systems and asset management in order to establish longer term career goals in any of the areas above, in coordination with business needs and opportunities.
Candidate Specification
- Completed bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline or May 2023 graduate in an accredited Engineering degree in good academic standing.
- Prior any related internship experience, preferably having 3 months or above internship experience in rail transportation sector
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- The candidate must have the permitted to work in the United States immediately.
- Shows interest in transportation and rail projects.
- Ability to apply research techniques and analytical methods to Asset Management tasks.
- Conduct special studies in conjunction with a project, analyzing data and making recommendations based upon studies.
- Perform field visits to document work being completed, update asset databases, or verify scopes of work as directed by MM team leads.
- Compose, type and print reports, letters, spreadsheets, e-mails, and memoranda from rough drafts or general instructions involving the assembly of data from computer and paper file or record sources.
- May perform a variety of administrative support duties such as conducting research, gathering data, preparing spreadsheets, and other similar functions.
- Attend meetings and take notes (meeting minutes).
- Assists with the preparation of proposals.
