The Supervisor, Global Client Pursuits (GCP) will lead the Pitch Delivery and Design Studios, which are based in one of the following "follow the sun" shared Service Centers in Manila, Tampa, or Buenos Aires. The role holder will support the Studio Regional Lead on the administrative and operational management of the team as part of the role.
The role holder will report to the Center Lead, who will delegate work to them, and offer guidance, instructions, and constructive feedback. The Supervisor will work closely with the Center Lead to ensure the team’s continuous improvement and share best practices with more junior team members.
Responsibilities:
The Supervisor is expected to perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior services to our clients, producing work products of the highest quality, and fostering an atmosphere of teamwork.
Principally responsible for these key areas:
1. Team leadership and operational supervision
- Work closely with Center Leads with case assignments to Senior Coordinators and Coordinators (following a team skills model and according to pitch complexity) on every GCP-led pitch
- Serve as an escalation point to Center Lead on delivery issues and improvement opportunities
- Generate Studios reports for Center Leads and Regional Leads
2. Proposal support
- Support proposals led by the Expert team and act as a dedicated member of the pitch team tasked with developing and leading more complex (and/or time-sensitive) opportunities, in due course after sufficient hands-on training has been completed
- Regularly review Senior Coordinator and Coordinator's work both from content (understanding of the request, relevancy of edits made, and experience included by Senior Coordinators / Coordinators) and format perspective, in collaboration with Center Lead
- Work collaboratively with Senior. Coordinators and Coordinators to prepare first draft proposals when needed based on the pitch lead's brief including, gathering relevant content from Firm tools and precedents, external website, sourcing and editing CVs, Firm experience searches and preliminary selection, rate cards, formatting tasks (e.g., request image searches, cleaning of documents)
- Write and tailor content (including creating the first draft of non-complex executive summaries to support pitch lead efforts and creating new content based on existing materials)
- Develop presentation materials, including placemats for GCP-led pitches and pursuits
- Coordinate and organize input from multiple offices (e.g., outreach re CVs, capability matrices, deals, etc.)
- Populate client templates and client questionnaires hosted on portals
- Format and proofread GCP-led proposals
- Prepare first draft proposals when needed based on the pitch lead's brief and offer continuous support throughout the pitch lifecycle
- Ensure on-time delivery of proposals and input, meeting internal deadlines and requirements
- Provide continued support throughout the pitch lifecycle
3. Pitch-Research and Reporting
- Research for purpose of proposal strategy development (including pre-panel planning) covering past proposals, terms & conditions, running financial reports, and client research (or liaising with the research team)
- Summarize research output, identify red flags, opportunities, and key points for consideration during kick-off and opportunity assessment
- Monitor and ensure all proposals are accurately and completely logged in the pitch tool (Qorus) and pitch and panel trackers, following pitch submission by the pitch leads
4. Pitch Enablement
- Liaise with other Firm departments to update pitch tool content (Qorus), revised/created in the context of a proposal
- Shadow pitch experts on teleconsultations
- Provide guidance to local offices in navigating the various pitch tools
- Be engaged in best practices and learning sessions with Center Leads, Learning & Development, and the Expert team to upskill more junior team members
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Strong Supervisor experience in a business development role in a business and/or professional services environment; law firm experience preferred
- Excellent writing and oral communications skills in English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese (for Buenos Aires-based role only)
- Able to take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion to creatively solve problems, and implement a solution
- Hands-on experience in proposal development including writing and project management is a huge advantage
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Client service focus, flexibility, can-do attitude; motivation and enthusiasm; personal drive and energy
- Experience in BD/ communications in professional services is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Photoshop is good to have
- Using web-based and library resources for BD intelligence gathering
