The General Manager oversees and coordinates the operations of one or more Groundworks-affiliated branch locations in accordance with the standards of the organization. The General Manager, through his/her direct reports, guides all office, sales and production activities, ensuring the execution of the organizational strategy to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, sales and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates with the President and the leadership team to develop operational goals for the business unit which are aggressive, yet obtainable, and that support the long-term goals of the company.
- Develops a superior workforce that is well-trained, engaged and empowered to serve customers.
- Implements a strategy that achieves the goals and objectives of the organization
- Provides leadership that builds relationships with stakeholders which are crucial to organizational success.
- Close relationship with the Sales Manager and team to ensure branch goals are met.
- Ensures projects are completed successfully, on time and to the satisfaction of customers.
- Ensures the health and safety of personnel.
- Supports and assists in coordinating paths of training and development for employees.
- Participates as a leader in special projects at the direction of the President.
- Other duties and responsibilities as directed or assigned.
- Knowledge of terminology, methods and best practices used in the foundation repair industry

Working Conditions
The General Manager may work extended and variable hours mostly in an office environment. General Managers will visit residential work locations to review work or meet with customers. Work will require travel overnight and for consecutive days.
Physical RequirementsStanding, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling, driving and lifting. Requires entry into tight spaces.
