Position Title: Lead Man
Location: Destrehan LA 70047
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate: $15 /hr.
Shift: Rotating Shift
Job Description:
· A qualified candidate to work as a laborer on a mid-stream stevedoring rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Waggaman, LA.
· Follow the direction of ARTCo personnel and Contractor Leadman in operations and care of stevedoring production assets.
· Housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance of production equipment and associated structures.
· Assist with stevedoring activities including barge and ship loading and unloading.
· Ability to follow directions and execute tasks under the supervisor of the operations management.
· Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents.
· Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the operations.
· Ability to work a rotating morning/evening shift, extended hours, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
· The ideal candidate will be able to: lift at least 50 pounds; work at various heights; sit, stand, kneel, crawl, and bend in various conditions; work in hot, cold, or dusty conditions; and provide high-quality customer service.
· TWIC-Transportation worker Identification Card required
