General Assembler: Assembles chain component parts and assists in chain manufacturing.
General Assembler: Assembles chain component parts and assists in chain manufacturing.
**Weekend shift - work 36 get paid for 40**
Train on 1st shift for 3 months.
Anything over 36 hrs. is overtime.
Textile experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Select chain parts according to the knowledge of the unit being assembled.
- Set up and operate chain assembly machinery.
- Assemble chains using work instructions or drawings.
- Fastens parts together with pins and hammers.
- May operate drill presses or other machinery to assist in assembly operation and connecting parts production.
- Cleans work area, tools, and fixtures.
Education and/or experience:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, performing manual tasks and operating simple machinery.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with assembly and production is a plus.
- Ability to lift 20 or more lbs. repetitively.
- Able to stand/walk for up to a 10-hour shift.
- Reliable transportation.
