General/Administrative Manager Job at Chemsolv, Inc.
Eden Custom Processing based out of Eden, NC, recycles solvents to meet or exceed customer specifications. Our system is centered around a hastalloy Thin Film Evaporation Unity capable of removing various impurities, including solids, to produce a pure refined solvent.
We are currently hiring an General/Administrative Manager.
The General/Administrative Manager will be responsible for:
- Maintain accurate records. Update daily production records including Energy Consumption, tanker logs, daily inventory report and yield reports.
- Monitor and report production costs.
- Adjust Solvay pricing quarterly according to contract and communicate changes with their purchasing agent.
- Ensure expected production yields are achieved and investigate any variations.
- Evaluate new streams for process viability and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with all current and potential regulatory permits. Complete new applications and renewals as needed.
- Manage and maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Program. Includes monitoring processes, monthly internal audits, and annual recertification.
- Ensure monthly wastewater samples are tested and monthly reports are completed.
- Complete annual TRI reporting with EPA utilizing production records.
- Maintain Chempax inventory including costs.
- Ensure all processes and procedures written are current and update as needed.
- Schedule shipping and receiving, coordinate with suppliers and customers.
- Schedule process runs and maintain yield analysis for all material processed.
- Ensure tank use is optimized, work with Plant Manager to ensure proper tanks are used and cleaned as needed.
- Dispatch drivers and ensure DOT records are maintained accurately. Coordinate maintenance needs with Fleetnet. Secure third-party carriers as needed.
- Responsible for purchasing. Work with vendors to secure best available pricing and coordinate maintenance projects with contractors as needed. Generate POs, verify accuracy of invoices, compile with POs and packing slips, and approve before sending to AP in Roanoke for payment.
- Responsible for process billing. Work with management on pricing structures and contract negotiations.
- Generate Bills of Lading in Chempax or Excel as needed for shipments and crude pickups.
- Maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot as needed.
- Ensure all required inspections are completed in a timely manner and facility is maintained properly.
- Responsible for Human Resources including hiring process and time reporting. Act as intermediary between staff and Roanoke HR for any employee issues.
- Responsible for operation of entire facility.
- Ensures proper tools and supplies are available for the entire facility.
- Coordinates with Plant Manager to ensure all requirements are met.
- Project manager for any projects outside normal business operation.
- Communicates with top management and all government regulatory bodies.
- Support production staff as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Chemical Engineering background required.
3-5 years' experience in office management in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience with typical office procedures.
Computer experience and typing skills.
Attention to detail.
Able to work independently and maintain busy workflow.
Multi-tasking.
Experience with lab equipment and testing procedures.
Troubleshooting.
Prior facility management.
Ability to communicate well.
Previous experience with process distillation systems.
Time management skills.
