These friendly, busy professional parents are seeking an honest, dependable, and experienced family assistant primarily to care for their two youngest children, an infant and a preschooler.

Location: Castro Valley, CA
Pay: $35-40 per hour, DOE

Please note that family assistants who spend more than 20% of their workday on household (non-childcare) duties are legally required to take a 30-minute unpaid meal/rest period, which is built into this schedule.

Details

• Full-time care for baby brother, 4 months old and big sister, 3 years old.
• Afternoon care (approximately 2 hours per day) for big brother, 5 years old.
• Family assistant should be patient and empathetic as big sister adjusts to the transition from youngest child to middle child.
• Candidates should be energetic, engaging, and eager to spend time outdoors and keep the children physically active.
• A Montessori background is desired but not required.
• An impeccable driving record and a track record of punctuality and dependability are paramount. A vehicle is provided for use on the job.
• Family assistant duties include light housekeeping, family laundry, and preparing simple dinners.
• Vaccines required, including COVID-19.

To be considered for this, or any other position through Nannies Plus, candidates must:

• Currently reside within the Bay Area, California
• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant paid, professional childcare experience after the age of 18
• Be able to provide stellar professional references
• Be legally eligible to work within the United States
• Be willing to accept a payroll (W-2) position
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Be willing to undergo criminal background checks
• Be willing to become up-to-date on CPR & first aid
• Be willing to become up-to-date on vaccinations (for most positions)
• Have intermediate to advanced English communication ability
• Have access to email and a device that supports Zoom

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
