Emerge Partners is actively recruiting for a Freight Analyst on-site in Raleigh, North Carolina . Our client is an International Freight Forwarder/CHB. The Freight Analyst is responsible for creating/updating reports and forecasting for global accounts, analyzing transit times, using excel. Will report the Sr. Key Account Manager. The Freight Analyst will determine the most cost-effective way to complete shipments of freight and evaluate other costs, such as storage fees and fuel costs, that may be associated with shipping freight. Responsibilities:

• Administer all freight payment for organization and perform analysis on all data collected from external and internal sources and prepare monthly ad hoc reports.

• Analyze all data to identify freight trends and monitor route of all private fleet on weekly basis.

• Maintain list of all approve carriers, route guides and warehouse list and implement an effective transportation management system and recommend improvement to performance and analyze trend.

• Analyze all freight processes and recommend improvements to all transportation and warehouse operations and perform audit on all international and domestic invoices.

• Maintain records of carrier pricing and contract rates and resolve all issues in same and monitor all client calls and track all freight carriers and resolve all overcharge issues.

• Coordinate with internal team and monitor all payments to suppliers and provide optimal support to supply chain and resolve all supply payment issues and ensure compliance to all international trade regulations.

• Investigate and resolve all claim issues for inbound and outbound shipment processes for all international and domestic freight.



QUALIFICATIONS



• Freight analysts use software to analyze data and produce reports, so they need to have good computer skills.

• Analytical skills are essential because freight analysts must be able to process information and use it to reach conclusions and support recommendations.

• Freight analysts need problem-solving skills to effectively address issues, find ways to improve business operations and determine how to prevent future issues.

• Mathematical skills are needed to determine costs and produce financial statements.
