In this role, you will be responsible for the P&L oversight of the retail, commercial, corporate and FI clients within international banking. You will proactively manage the foreign exchange portfolio and relationships to ensure retention and organic growth in accordance with monetary objectives of overall client portfolio in addition to capitalizing on new opportunities. The areas your work will encompass include FX Trading, Spot - international funds transfer, Forwards, Options, Foreign Cash Letter, Broadridge FX platform and SWIFT. You will work on trading, funds transfer initiation, analytics, and monitoring within well-defined institutional policy and procedures guidelines as well as industry best practices.

Functions

  • Responsible for the oversight of the foreign exchange high-potential portfolio focused on profit enhancement and retention including: FX trading, Spot, Forward, Swap, and Option Transactions, foreign cash letter and check collections. Intimate familiarity with front office functionality of FX Platform, SWIFT gateway, and other affiliated systems.
  • Responsible for timely resolution related to client inquiries and transaction activity issues.
  • Oversees all foreign accounts to mitigate risks and excessive fees.
  • Manages department's and clients' daily credit risk exposure of open positions via the maintenance of marked-to-market reporting.
  • Regular interaction with internal partners; including Commercial/Corporate RMs, Treasury Sales, FX sales, wire operations, treasury etc.
  • Intimate familiarity with front office functionality of FX Platform, SWIFT gateway, and other affiliated systems.
  • Direct involvement in FX "front office" trading applications and transaction initiation conduits within International Banking including, Auto-FX, Bene-deduct and related fee producing programs. In-depth active working knowledge of all front office technology applications, analysis and development of strategic reports for ongoing management review, and dynamic pricing components within FXL trading applications to ensure profit optimization.

  • Responsible for growing the FX portfolio by consulting with clients regarding trading patterns analysis, developing proposals to ensure full satisfaction and organic growth of client portfolios, and meeting or exceeding overall growth objectives for existing clientele within internal CRM environment.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
  • Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant foreign exchange trading and advisory services.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Analytical and reporting expertise.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange trading, sales and advisory services products that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to cross-sell the bank's products.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange trading policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in using technical systems and diverse trading applications such as Reuters, Bloomberg and 360T. Strong Microsoft product suite skills are preferred - especially Excel. Knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.
