Flower Business in Severna Park is a small business in Severna Park, MD 21146.
Our small, family business is rapidly growing and looking to expand. We are looking for energetic, creative, and out-going individuals to help us run our shop!
The official title we use is "Floral Magician" - we aren't joking! We need people who love flowers and have the ability to magically turn stems into gorgeous bouquets!
The job consists of managing daily flower shop duties;
- Unpacking and processing flower shipments
- Setting up & maintaining floral displays and inventory
- Making bouquets and arrangements
- Simple math (adding up stem prices)
- Checking out customers - understanding POS software
- Maintaining organization of the retail front-end of the shop
- Driving flower deliveries in the Anne Arundel area
The right fit for this job MUST have social skills & the ability to communicate with customers effectively. This person will need to ask questions and provide suggestions to customers with different styles & interests!
Our floral associates must be cheerful, energetic and detail oriented.
The hours will be a day-shift Monday through Friday with weekend work as needed
We also have a flower truck that pop-ups (weather permitting) that might require some outdoor work off-site.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license & have the ability to navigate a GPS system (Waze, Google Maps)
- Must be able to work when needed in a pinch to cover shifts & some nights around events and holidays. We do not work on the actual holidays, just the days leading up!!
- Must work well with others & be out-going with customers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
