Job Purpose:

The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for recording the cost of newly-acquired assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.

Job Duties:

• Calculate and Post Depreciation monthly - system calculation process (not a manual calculation)
• Running system reports and ensuring subledgers tie to g/l accounts (monthly roll-forwards)
• Setting up and disposing of fixed assets and rental assets – daily activity
• Developing a process to manage communication of asset transfers/disposals and other activities
• Perform audits of assets to ensure assets in system are still on site at the locations
• Implementing tax basis depreciation for assets
• Moving assets to a new system from current system
• Possible travel to various locations to inventory fixed assets
• Maintain lease query database that tracks changes in leased vehicles/equipment and booking related journal entries generated in the software system and ensuring GL balances tie to this sub-system
• Intercompany transfers and impairment of fixed assets.
• Amortized intangible assets on a monthly basis.
• Ensured all fixed asset accounting transactions followed company policy.

Job Experience Requirements:

• Business Centeral/NAV experience preferred but not required
• Fixed Asset Management Software experience preferred but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
