Financial Analyst
Location: Wilsonville

Hours Per Week: 40
Months Per Year: 12
Pay Range: 51,937.60-61,687.60 Annually

Position Summary
Assists the Lead Financial Analyst in coordinating financial activities, such as evaluating fiscal impact of program and policy issues, preparing and monitoring budgets, and cost effectiveness feasibility studies and special projects as assigned. Provide support and technical assistance to county level management and staff, prepare monthly financial statements, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Essential Functions

Develops, prepares, analyzes and distributes program performance reports (financial, staffing, facility, expenses, cost effectiveness, etc.) by:

  • Preparing quarterly/monthly financial statements.
  • Preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Evaluating actual vs. planned performance.
  • Reviewing operating results to identify opportunities for increased utilization of funds and cost containment or reduction.
  • Conduct fiscal analysis of proposals.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to identify fiscal impact to the agency.

Serve as liaison between central office fiscal department and individual centers across the state as needed.

Provides support and technical assistance by:

  • Interpreting policies.
  • Answering questions.
  • Resolving financial discrepancies.
  • Assisting with cost effectiveness feasibility studies.
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned.
  • Supporting local centers on financial issues such as payroll, purchasing, contract administration, and financial analysis.

Reconciles general ledger accounts by:

  • Analyzing.
  • Utilizing balance sheets.
  • Journal entries.

Reconciles multiple bank accounts.

Education And Experience Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting or related field with 1-3 years of experience
OR
A combination of education and experience
