Milestone Systems, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Financial Analyst to work in our US Headquarters located in beautiful Lake Oswego, Oregon. We are looking for someone who loves the technology field, is numbers savvy, and enjoys working with a diverse team.

The Financial Analyst will serve as an integral position within the Americas Finance Department. This position requires a high degree of proficiency with analyzing accounting data, determining financial risk and providing guidance as a Finance Business Partner to help interpret cost and profitability data. The Financial Analyst will report to our Financial Controller for the Americas.

Responsibilities

• Joint-ownership partnering with the Director of Sales and National Sales Managers – you will budget revenue on a yearly basis, create revenue forecasting monthly, prepare variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Market research, Competitor analysis, Territory planning etc to help with Target-setting
• Design, build and run reports in support of our business partners – this can range from detailed deep-dive reporting to address a specific ad-hoc question/analysis to recurring monthly and quarterly reporting to track our performance against targets.
• Process and Model Improvement - Just because a process or model exists, doesn’t mean it’s the best way to meet the need. Learn our processes and models, learn how we fit in with our global reporting, and help make recommendations for simplification, accuracy, as well as have a smarter and innovative approach to problem-solving.
• Ad-hoc projects and analyses - Every role has its core responsibilities and the opportunity for more when you’re ready. For example, you could support ad-hoc projects requiring cross-company collaboration to achieve the desired outcomes and you may analyse top-line KPIs to help tell the story of a Milestone’s performance. You may also help with the board presentations
• Collaboration and Customer service (internal stakeholders) within the Americas Controlling team, Sales Teams as well as outside with our international counterparts, as this is truly important to the culture of Milestone.

Your Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 2 years of related finance experience
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Financial Modeling, Macros, VBA) and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• You must understand accruals and journal entries (even if you never booked the entries)
• Experience using planning and reporting software like Power BI is a plus
• SalesForce user experience is a plus
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong critical thinker who is effective at prioritizing and adjusting expectations
• Builds trust through excellent communication skills
• Adaptable to change
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement with important matters and to uphold organizational values
• Aptitude to work with minimal supervision
