Rolling Wireless is an international company with 20+ years of experience in developing cellular modems and software for automotive market. We are worldwide the largest 2nd Tier supplier of cellular modems to the automotive industry.

Part of the System Engineering team, and reporting to the Director Program Manager, the position involves be the “technical” reference and point of contact of prospects/customers. She/He participates in the Presales activity, support Sales to manage RFI/RFQ project. After the award, She/He support the technical part of the execution phase.
Position & Assignment Summary :
- Collaborate closely with regional Sales for biz dev programs,
- Organize and manage the technical part of the RFI/RFQ project in support of Sales and Marketing,
- Provide first technical support to customer from Pre-sales, execution to after SOP activities.
Key Accountabilities & Statement of Work :
FAE will handle Business Opportunity and/or support Project in Execution. % is given as an indication of the possible workload and will balance depending on objectives.
1 Business Opportunity Development (30-60%) :
- With Sales and PMM, identify potential customer projects in your region and the organization resources/competencies that are required to get design-win,
- Promotes the Rolling Wireless solutions and tools through trainings, presentations, demonstrations and customer meetings,
- Foster and develop a positive working relationship with technical stakeholders at prospects/customers to get information on new projects, highlight the RWS advantages and streamline the development phase (RFQ answers, technical workshop…),
- Share all the relevant information to move the project from RFQ to Execution (RFQ answer, Customer expectation, Planning…),
- Inform customers of Rolling Wireless products offering changes (order codes, HW or SW evolutions).
2 Execution Phase (60%-30%) :
- Main customer technical interface during development and launch phase,
- Manage the first level of the technical issues, provide answer to the customers and transfer the issues to the second level of support when necessary. Keep the customer informed about the progress,
- Informs customers of Rolling Wireless products offering changes (order codes, HW or SW evolutions),
- Drive troubleshooting, Q&A, change request and services request with the relevant people,
- Synchronize with manager the actions plan and the communication to customers,
- Regular project report to interface and escalation hierarchy.
3 Support Consolidation (10%) :
- Gathering the voice of customers, capture automotive use cases & trends,
- Provide Rolling Wireless all relevant information about the application(s) evolution of the prospects/customers (component content, system requirements development, new products requirements, integration strategy, competition, etc.),
- Assist in product trainings, workshops, product demonstration.
Required Education, Experience & Competencies :
- Engineer degree with 7+ years’ experience in automotive projects (Telematics or Infotainment….),
- Education based on embedded electronics and software,
- Experience in :
-> Telecom system: 4G and 5G… -> GNSS, V2X, Wifi/BT,
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills,
- Customer-oriented and collaboration mindset working with remote teams and in an international environment,
- Dynamic, Pro Active, Organized, Rigourous,
- Language : Fluent English is mandatory.
