Facility MEL Specialist Job at GEM Technologies Inc.
GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Facility Master Equipment Listing Specialist to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Clearance Level Required:
Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance
Per Diem / Travel Authorized:
Yes
Overview:
- Monitoring, validation work for correctness, maintaining databases, making necessary corrections, performing duties, and preparing presentations such as matrix of equipment, repairs, and to help establish equipment lifecycle.
- Work with P950 Maintenance procedures.
- Shares knowledge with other work control personnel.
- Has knowledge of equipment, reads blueprints, electrical diagrams, pumps.
- Interpretation of engineering documents with equipment lifecycles.
- Update record maintenance history and lead workshop meetings.
- Support and maintain the Master Equipment Listing (MEL) by monitoring, validating, and auditing work package completion.
- Maintains database and other programs as required for use in the development of performance matrix and other required administrative reports.
- Evaluates processes, and procedures for potential improvements.
- Develops and maintains maintenance policies, and procedures.
- Provide training support of the maintenance program to new team members.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
- To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons.
