Position Summary
The Facilities Engineering Tech will support the Facilities team by being responsible for, but not limited to, creating and/or maintaining databases, data entry and validation, updating performance metrics and administrative support. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
  • Provide cross functional support to local Management team (Facilities, Construction, Electrical, SCADA and Midstream Services)
  • Work with other engineering techs within Chord to maintain consistency, share efficiency improvements, improve visibility and reduce rework.
  • With limited guidance, identify gaps in information and determine how to improve data quality and data visibility.
  • QA/QC morning reporting in databases such as SiteView
    • Ensure quality data by reviewing/correcting daily reports
    • Support staff by providing output from databases including cost review, material transfers, post job lookbacks, etc.
    • Query information through use of Data Analyzer
  • Train field employees and consultants on proper data entry
  • Input data for operated wells into Chord’s systems, including key site information
  • Prepare and maintain databases for analysis
  • Prepare data and reports to assist team in tracking performance against targets (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Assist engineers and management in preparing AFE packages, Procedures, Management of Change (MOC’s) and other support documents as necessary
  • Distribute and file third party reports / data
  • Gather data and prepare engineering exhibits for regulatory hearings, midstream connects and managerial presentations
  • Regular field visits to enhance individual understanding of operations
  • While in field, network with field personnel to understand issues and concerns in regards to reporting; help alleviate concerns.
  • Remain current with industry trends and local training/networking opportunities in the industry
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School degree/GED
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills a must
  • Computer skills: proficient use Microsoft Office 2013
  • 1 year Oil and gas industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated to identify and resolve gaps in information and communication
  • Experience in mentoring or training others
