Experienced Tax Preparer

The Strategy Group VI, LLC (TSG) is a United States Virgin Islands-based (USVI) Limited Liability Company and a certified Minority Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (M/DBE) founded in early 2019. TSG offers its clients three service lines: Tax Solutions, Business Solutions and Public Relations and Marketing (PR+M). TSG is quickly becoming the professional services firm of choice in the USVI and abroad.

TSG is seeking experienced tax professionals to join our rapidly growing Financial Services group. The group serves a broad array of clients spanning start-ups, small businesses, high net-worth individuals, and large local and multi-national corporations. Team expertise includes advanced financial professionals with 150+ years of combined accounting, tax, payroll and compliance experience and credentialed project management professionals add to the array of services provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Experienced Tax Preparer will:

• Demonstrate a broad understanding of individual and corporate income tax compliance and planning.
• Effectively prepare and review workpapers, financial statements and income tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Monitor and track individual workflow of each client engagement to meet internal and external deadlines
• Demonstrate understanding of income tax filing requirements, laws, and regulations with the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue and Federal Internal Revenue Service
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and tax and accounting software

• Maintain excellent working relationships with clients and co-workers

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or focus area
• Five (5) or more years of progressive experience preparing corporate and individual income tax returns
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently in a work-from-home environment
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively, as needed
• Ability to be flexible and work under pressure
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Consulting with Government Services experience
