Veterinary Technician 5 years experience a MUST
Summit Dog and Cat Hospital is currently seeking a qualified veterinary technician. Must be capable of drawing blood, place iv catheters.

We use cornerstone software.

Duties and responsibilities

*Assisting with surgeries, running lab tests, taking and processing x-rays, performing dental cleanings, updating patient records, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and filling prescriptions

*Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian

*Restraining animals during exams or procedures

*Providing first level customer service

*Restrain all types of animals, sizes and temperaments.

*Assist veterinarian and technicians with exams, procedures and Xrays

Prepare and administer vaccines

Prep animals for surgeries

*Daily inventory and restocking

*Provide a clean and comfortable environment for all hospitalized pets

*Maintain cleanliness and disinfect all areas of the hospital including, but not limited to: laundry, cleaning of floors, taking out trash, cleaning treatment areas and exam rooms, reception area and bathrooms'
