Overview:
Quinnipiac University's Technology Services, a division within Information Services that manages several operations of the University, is seeking an Executive Director of Technology Services. This position manages both the Client Services (help desk) and University Applications teams, supports the QCard Operations, manages all procurement for end user devices (specifically IT and faculty) and shares responsibility for supporting the ERP and reporting solutions from a system administration perspective. Supports teams that provide additional support to A/V, classroom and lab groups as well as other areas of Information Technology

Responsibilities:

  • Meet regularly with the other divisions of Information Services and other departments within the university in order to ensure optimal performance of applications
  • Prepare and administer all financial budgets associated with a complex operational working department of the University
  • Serve the end users needs of faculty by administering the Faculty Laptop Program
  • Work regularly with vendors and suppliers of all technologies associated with this position especially related to laptop and workstation products and services
  • Participate in yearly audits to ensure the University is meeting all compliance and performance obligations
  • Maintain the University assets in the data warehouse and apply applicable analytic technologies for reporting purposes
  • Participate in Open House events; Admitted Student Days and other external University applicable events

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required
  • Master's degree is preferred

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive technical and leadership experience
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Experience directly supervising diverse teams in a high-volume environment
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaborative skills, including the ability to work closely on teams of senior stakeholders within the university
  • Customer-focused service orientation toward the needs of students, faculty and staff
  • Deep technical workflow knowledge of University environments is desired
  • Demonstrated experience leading large projects
  • Ability to resolve conflict within technology usage by fostering a climate of collaboration
  • Participate actively in the governance structure (data, information technology, compliance)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
