This is a 100% onsite role in Buffalo, NY.

We are looking for a Head Chef for our Buffalo, NY office to provide daily meals for our employees.

You will oversee the entire kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and team management.

You will also be able to design your dream kitchen! We are currently renovating our entire kitchen space from scratch so that you will have a say in all aspects of remodeling.

What do we expect?

Our ideal candidate is someone who can organize and prepare menus for the week with healthy and versatile food. Our office is growing to 300+ people this year, and we are looking for someone with experience preparing meals at that scale daily.

Responsibilities will include helping to configure the physical space of our new kitchen, choosing equipment and food vendors, and hiring a team of 2-3 people who will report to you.

Schedule:
Full-time schedule. Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee entire kitchen responsibilities, including opening and closing duties, menu and food preparation, budgeting, interviewing, hiring additional staff as needed, and other ad hoc responsibilities
  • Plan and execute daily lunches for ~300 people every day
  • Manage inventory and vendors
  • Ensure kitchen maintenance and hygiene according to FDA/FSIS standards
  • Manage corporate events
  • Oversee additional company events, including annual Park Day, roadshows, recruitment events, and parties

Must Have:
  • Minimum three years experience as a chef with a preference for event catering
  • ServSafe and Food Safety Handler certifications
  • Experience with menu development, budget forecasting, & vendor management
  • Passion for culinary excellence and a desire to create diverse and versatile meals
  • Experience working preparing food for individuals with food allergies and religious restrictions (e.g., Halal or Kosher food)
  • Ability to oversee and perform opening & closing duties, including kitchen preparation and cleanup
  • Computer skills: experience working with P&L statements, budgeting, etc.,
  • Team management experience
