Job Description

Local endurance running event is looking for additional crew support on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 + a staff meeting on Thursday, April 20th. Eligible candidates must be available for all three shifts, no exceptions. Please include your experience with other special events, especially athletic events, in your reply. Submissions will not be accepted without description of previous experience.

Hours are:

Thursday, April 20 from 6pm to 8pm

Friday, April 21 from 8am to 5pm

Saturday, April 22 from 3am to 5pm (not a type-o, start at 3am)

This is a contract job. $550 flat fee for the full schedule. Again, no exceptions - you must be able to work both full days during all the hours requested and attend the staff meeting on Thursday, April 20 from 6pm-8pm. The job will only be confirmed after receipt of the completed and signed W9 and independent contractor agreement.

Lunch will be provided both days. Water available all day, both days. You are responsible for any other meal or drink needs.

Responsibilities

Duties include unloading and loading trucks and moving boxes, tables, chairs, waters, and other heavy equipment and supplies. Must be able to lift 40 pounds on your own, unassisted. Other responsibilities include placing steel barricades, hanging banners and signs, laying out cones along course route, and any other misc. jobs as required by event team management. All shifts must be completed to receive compensation.

Qualifications

Candidates should be able to exhibit a professional, positive, and customer-service oriented demeanor to fellow team members, law enforcement, city officials, sponsors, volunteers, athletes, and attendees. Strong communication skills required. Best question: "What's next?"

Must be able to lift 40 pounds on your own without assistance. This is a manual labor job.

You must have a valid driver's license and able to drive a cargo van and/or 16' box moving truck. Experience with 26' trucks and forklifts a plus.
