Job Description
The ERP/Senior Project Manager applies advanced technical project management frameworks and methods in conjunction with SC2 objectives to plan and execute projects in the enterprise administrative application domain (Finance, Purchasing, Operations). The ERP Project Manager is an experienced technical professional who can resolve highly complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Project Manager determines methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results, and manages projects of broad and diverse scope, size, impact, budget, and/or project team size, with considerable impact on the organization.
The position requires extensive systems experience, a thorough understanding of the interdependencies among systems and processes, knowledge of Manufacturing, Packaging, and Transportation entities' financial and administrative needs, and strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to identify and resolve issues, develop deliverables and timelines, manage stakeholder expectations, and handle post deployment adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years professional experience, including 5 – 7+ years of experience implementing ERP’s (Dynamics BC, SAP, NetSuite, Acumatica);
- Five (5) + years’ experience in ERP project management / program management.
- Experience in Managing large projects & associated budgets.
- Experience leading and managing a Program Team.
- Proven experience managing multiple project assignments simultaneously.
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience
- Requires expert, demonstrated knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
- Requires ability to assess organizational needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs.
- Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of the impact on the organization of such initiatives.
- Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
- Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated effective writing skills.
- Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques.
- Broad knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of the impact on the organization of such initiatives.
- Proven leadership ability. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments.
- Effective skill at tracking effort and project progress. Demonstrated highly advanced organization and project management skills. Demonstrated strong conceptual and planning skills to analyze projects of broad and diverse scope. Understands the cost impact of projects, project tracking tools, and metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization.
- Advanced knowledge of all aspects of computing and communications including hardware infrastructure, networking, software, operations, and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate critical information across disciplines. Understands how projects relate to other business strategies and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in project managing medium to large-scale enterprise application implementations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team of technology and business (SME) professionals.
- Experience/ knowledge of major ERP, manufacturing, and warehouse management platforms (e.g., Acutmatica, MS Dynamics BC, Netsuite)
- Strong knowledge of definitions and uses of data, financial and reporting systems, information flow, and data architecture. Competency in query functions and language, and basic data modeling.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
