JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that the golf course equipment shop is operating efficiently and effectively. Ensure that the department is operating in a safe manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Primary job function of our Mechanic is clean, calibrate and maintain all our company machinery, ensuring it is safe and in compliance with OSHA regulations and standards. Under no circumstance will defective machinery be used on the job. This position must also create, organize and store equipment maintenance records, which will be reviewed by the Golf Mechanic Manager of the golf course daily to weekly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a clean and organized golf maintenance office and all mechanic areas.

(This should be clean, neat, and labeled and free of clutter). Will also be accountable for storing and maintaining all our inventory records and maintenance logs.

• Our mechanic will properly wash and store our maintenance equipment and tools daily to ensure they are properly maintained. This position will also open, close, and secure the golf maintenance office and all work areas daily.
• The mechanic will manage all materials needed to maintain equipment and tools and order parts, fuel, and other items on an as needed basis. Will also be responsible for ensuring all golf carts are operational.
• Attendance is an essential function of the position, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The Presidential will follow the progressive discipline policy regarding attendance.
• Other job duties and responsibilities may be added or deleted as business demand dictates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Graduate or GED is required.
• Vocational technical training from a technical school in mechanical or small engine repair certification is desirable.
• Currently studying as an apprentice in the mechanical trade would be considered.

• 2+ years of experience as a golf course mechanic or current apprenticeship in mechanical, car mechanic or small engine mechanic is preferred.
• Must be a strong team player who is willing to help and always assist.
• Must be self-motivated and require little to no direct supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a fast paced and at times a very stressful work environment.
• Must possess the ability to interact effectively (written or verbal) with all internal employees and external clients, in a professional and courteous manner.
• Will be required to lift and pull 50+ lbs and stand on their feet for long periods of time.
• Exposures to loud noise, fumes and at times chemicals.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
