The Division of Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a fellowship trained skull base, endovascular neurosurgeon. The ideal candidate for this position will be board eligible or certified with a demonstrated ability to develop a strong academic skull base, endovascular program. Preference will be given to those with a broad range of capabilities including advanced skull base techniques and stereotactic radiosurgery, open microsurgery and endovascular surgery. The surgeon will have a primary responsibility of expanding skull base neuro-oncology and endovascular services at BIDMC and will work in collaboration with other departments to further develop the multidisciplinary neuro-oncology program. The candidate will be expected to supervise medical students, neurosurgery residents and fellows. Exceptional teamwork, program development, teaching and mentorship abilities are essential. Individuals with a demonstrated ability to develop independent research programs will be strongly considered. Appointment as Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities.
