EMBELLISHMENT OPERATOR Job at Leanin Tree

1) GENERAL PURPOSE
Operates Post Press machines to maintain quality-assured product inventory to support 100% first time order fill. Sets-up, adjusts, and operates the Die-cutting, Foil Stamping and Embossing machines.
2) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Individually, and as part of a team, in accordance with established policies and procedures, standards of operation, and safety measures, operates designated Post Press machines as required; performing Foil Stamping, Embossing and Die Cutting; scoring, folding, batching, collating, boxing, and wrapping functions, at required pace to maintain quality-assured product inventory to support 100% first time order fill.
2. Loads product onto machines, unloads product from machines to replenish supply.
3. Verifies accuracy of machine setup.
4. Operates machines at required pace.
5. Observes operation of machine throughout production run and reports machine malfunctions to machine technician/adjuster, supervisor, and/or manager.
6. Removes folded, collated, wrapped, converted, and boxed products from machines.
7. Labels product boxes and skids appropriately, backups.
8. Seals packages.
9. Operates multiple machines throughout the workday on a rotating basis, as required, in cooperation and communication with team, and with mental alertness.
10. Completes required paperwork accurately utilizing reading, writing, and math skills.
11. Inspects quality of product against established standards during machine operating processes. Pulls product with quality issues and informs supervisor.
12. Communicates (oral and written) effectively with team and department, and internal customers as required
13. Completes required paperwork and works with inventory utilizing reading, writing, and basic math skills
14. Follows instructions and adheres to safety measures, policies and procedures, quality standards, and standards of operation.
15. Attends work regularly on the job site, working scheduled hours as required.
16. Meets production expectations for finished products.
17. Programs printer for various back-up cards and makes changes for different sized cards as needed.
18. Prints product labels.
19. Utilizes counting scales.
20. Completes paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
21. Stages work for the equipment to maintain product inventory.
22. Cleans and maintains work areas.
23. Cross-trains and works in other areas as needed.
3) OTHER FUNCTIONS
Assists with year-end inventory.
Light maintenance of equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

Solid machine operation knowledge and skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety measures, policies and procedures, quality standards, and standards of operation.

Ability to work in a team setting and work ind ependently.
Mental alertness during machine operation
Basic math skills (ability to count, add, subtract, divide, multiply).

6) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Graduate or equivalent
Previous machine operation experience in high speed production environment
1 year embellishment machine operation experience

8) WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS NEEDED
Indoor manufacturing environment
Noise requiring hearing protection
Ability to stand all day (up to 8 hours) on concrete floors and walk short distances
Ability to operate and rotate through multiple machines effectively at required pace throughout the workday.
Ability to activate, feed, control machines and work at machine’s speed
Manual dexterity, using both hands and fingers in handling and grasping product and operating machines
Ability to reach with arms/hands overhead
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. as needed throughout the workday
Ability to bend at the waist
Abilitiy to push/pull pallet jacks using both hands/arms
Vis ual requirements include hand/eye coordination and visual acuity in near/mid ranges
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
