Job Summary:

Upper Quadrant is looking for a self-driven Email and CRM Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. Primary responsibilities include managing email strategy, execution, implementation, and ongoing optimization for small business retailers. The objective is to leverage existing customer data to advise clients on techniques to grow revenue by delivering highly personalized content that meets a customer at the right time in their journey. Hyper focused on customer retention, average order value, new customer acquisition, and lifetime value. Candidate will be responsible for overarching direction of clients’ email program, including developing strategy and execution of campaigns, personalization and segmentation strategies, and performance. This role will primarily work with run specialty retailers and associated Brand partners.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities: (Email Strategy and Execution, CRM Support)

  • Act as a campaign strategist for end-to-end execution of campaigns: defining the audience, outlining the creative strategy, positioning requirements, and analyzing results.
  • Execute full lifecycle of email marketing campaign development including setup, build-out, targeting, testing, deployment, and optimization
  • Develop, execute, and manage data-driven triggered and ad hoc email campaigns end-to-end, building out email content calendar based on brand and business priorities.
  • Build out strategies and campaigns for new market launches, product discovery and other merchandising related campaigns
  • Translate client business goals into accurate delivery requirements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in customer segmentation to continuously improve execution and optimizations
  • Drive the creative production process: develop creative concepts, plan audience structure, build-out of segments, deployment, and reporting.
  • Follow email deliverability standards, including proper list hygiene
  • Collaborate with cross functional marketing teams to build strategies that drive brand growth from all channels including geo-targeting, cross-channel purchasing, email acquisition in stores and omni-channel customer segmentation opportunities.
  • Develop marketing briefs in partnership with Brands, Digital Marketing, and/or Creative teams to help clients build a successful brand, product, and seasonal promotional campaigns.
  • Management of daily, weekly, and monthly analytics for reporting and optimization to provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Articulate and present strategy, progress, and results effectively to stakeholders
  • Conduct monthly marketing sessions with clients to analyze, inform and brief on email content strategy, market trends, and metrics analysis.
  • Ongoing competitive analysis and keep up to date and report on industry news, trends and the ever-changing nature of digital platforms to identify key insights that can help drive email, triggered messages, personalization strategies and overall business growth.
  • Ensure design and layouts of emails are optimized, user- and mobile-friendly, and follow industry policies and best practices.
  • Ability to fully train clients on CDP platform functionality

Primary Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing and/or project management; preferably within a retail/brand environment. Experience in health and wellness or run specialty retail industry is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience with enterprise level email platform (CDP) or CRM tool.
  • 2+ years of experience managing clients, third-party vendors, or cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive Knowledge of email flows, including, but not limited to, post-purchase journeys, winback flows, re-engagement initiatives, and transactional emails.
  • Proven proficiency in managing customer-driven experiences, strategies, and programs from concept through implementation and optimizing thereafter
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage timelines, resources, and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes, and additional software/web-based applications
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively interact across business functions to deliver effective marketing programs
  • Strong aptitude to work within deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, resourceful with a creative mindset
  • Stays current on evolving media trends, technology, and automation opportunities
