JLL is now hiring an Electrician. Apply now and join our dedicated team of hard-working professionals.

The Electrician will perform and/or direct various Electrical installations and preventive maintenance and repairs at a client’s site. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within all JLL and client standards and guidelines

Here is some of what you will be doing

• Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment

• Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.

• Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.

• Assist with the installation and repair of plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and three-phase motors (single & two speed)

• Run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.

• Install and rebuild pumps and motors; Install and rebuild air compressors, and heat exchangers;

• Replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls

• Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of buildings and equipment.

• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

• Maintains a clean and safe workplace.

• Assist team members with troubleshooting and escalating issues

• Train new team members

• Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Here is what we are looking for:

• High School diploma or GED

• Completion of Trade School/Vocational Schooling is preferred

• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferred.

• Electrical journeyman license required

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Team player that works well with others

• Able to regularly lift items up to 50lbs

• Physically able to operate electric hand tools, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.

• Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.

• Able to work on a ladder up to 28’

• Able to work on roofs of buildings – able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder.

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.

• Ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of time
