Job Summary

Wooddale Academy is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for being adventurous, an out-of-the-box thinker bursting with energy, and early childhood education and experience working with young children.

• School hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
• You choose - PT/FT, Year Round or Summers off!

Preferred Candidates have experience working with young children or in the education field as well as the following:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans and activities for early childhood children that align with MN state standards and the school's mission and philosophy.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children while promoting a love of God and respect for others.
• Encourage children to explore and discover through hands-on experiences, observations, and investigations.
• Utilize materials and resources to enhance learning experiences and promote creativity and imagination.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and maintain open communication with parents and caregivers.
• Monitor and document children's progress and development, and provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current on research and trends in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching young children in an earlychildhood setting.
• Knowledge and appreciation of Christianity and the ability to share that enthusiasm with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Familiarity with MN Rule 3 standards and regulations related to early childhood education.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
