The hundred-plus year-old agency has launched bold new strategies to reduce two-generation homelessness by dramatically increasing its prevention, housing, and supportive services for children, putting the organization on a fast-growth trajectory. To support these strategies, the agency seeks a dynamic, driven Early Childhood Navigator, to support the agency’s deepening services to more than 5,000 children and parents.
The Early Childhood Navigator will be responsible for creating partnerships and pathways for case managers to connect children and parents in FamilyAid’s care to critical supports that enhance children’s physical-wellbeing and social-emotional development. Experienced, knowledgeable, and well networked with early child-related services in Greater Boston, the Early Childhood Navigator will be the agency’s key content expert for services, resources and other collaterals that support the healthy development of young children ages 0-5 that are that are unstably housed. The Early Childhood Navigator will work across the agency to implement and grow a clear, data driven 2-gen approach to early childhood services with measurable results.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree. Master of Education in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Demonstrated success in building partnership in early childhood space, as well as understanding of a 2-gen approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrated success in applying evidence-based practices including Trauma-Informed Care, critical time intervention and motivational interviewing, and ability to work in both office and field-based settings with a diverse, homeless population are a plus.

Location: 3815 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02130 Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with flexibility to best meet client and program needs. Some evening availability may be required.
This is a hybrid position. Some onsite work at FamilyAid locations and main office will be required.
