Job Hours: Monday- Thursday- 3:45pm- 8:15/8:30pm, Saturday- 7:45am- 1:15/1:30pm
Base Location: Court Services – 318 West Pike St., Lawrenceville, GA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fills out all paperwork and logs associated with the client’s drug test.
- Ensures that clients do not take anything into the drug testing room with them.
- Observes the client during drug screens to ensure the purity of the sample.
- Reports any notable information to the appropriate party.
- Maintains inventory supplies and informs appropriate staff of needed items.
- Maintains positive working relationships with persons, agencies, and other units of the criminal justice system who come into contact with the Court Services organization.
- Courtroom testimony if called upon.
- Assesses on a continuous basis, methods to improve service delivery.
- Performs special projects and responsible for successful completion of directives as specified by the Supervisor and Director.
Screeners set up at 3:45pm (7:45am on Saturday):
- Sanitize tables.
- Remove cooler with supplies from lab.
- Put specimen cups in bin.
- Put bin and specimen bags on table.
- Place pens, sign in sheets, clock, integrity strips and extra chain of custody forms on table
At 4:00pm screens starts - two participants at a time in the building (8am on Saturday):
- Participants sign in.
- Screener removes one pre-printed label from pre-printed chain of custody and place on table then give participant pre-printed chain of custody form.
- Participants fill out pre-printed form, integrity slip, get cup and bag.
End of screening at 8:15pm (1:15pm on Saturday):
- Screeners put cooler and screening supplies back in lab
- Any extra pre-printed sheet go on top of cooler
- Screeners email drug screen report
***Screeners lock the building at the end of the shift***
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma and six (6) months experience in the related area.
Preferred Experience:
- Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Experience working in lab services.
- Experience working with criminal justice populations.
- Experience in probation.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities acquired through the completion of a high school degree.
- Ability to accurately maintain records. 3. Possess good organizational skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals coming into contact with the Court Services organization.
- Possess good oral/written communication skills.
- Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish/English)
- Possess basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to transport oneself in order to accomplish job performance requirements as dictated by Court Services policy and procedure.
- Ability to work varied schedule.
- Possess basic knowledge of the criminal justice system.
Requirements/Competencies:
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
- Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
- Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
- Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
- Other duties as assigned.
