The Documentaion Specialist (DS) provides courteous and efficient service to internal and external customers. The DS initiates all payer specific documentation (initial and revised) via HcN and payer forms for new and existing patients.The DS then works directly with the patient’s physician to ensure accurate completion of documentation. The signed documentation is then returned to the branch, logged in the system, and sent to billing to be used per Maryland Medical Assistance guidelines.

Work Experience: Minimum three years experience in an office and/or retail setting required; experience in a health care setting preferred.

Knowledge: Medical terminology; basic customer service principles; computer literacy
