SUMMARY
The successful candidate will assist the Loan Documentation team with the preparation of commercial loan documents through our LaserPro software and ensure that documents are reviewed against the credit approval while complying with Bank policy and federal regulations. The Loan Documentation Specialist will provide ongoing feedback to Management to make sure that any issues are properly escalated.
This is not a remote role -- it is in person in our Stone Park branch, and we are seeking applicants with "commercial" loan documentation experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Scan all documents to corresponding online folders upon receipt.
- Obtain necessary information to process and complete loan files.
- Prepare loan closing documentation for commercial, commercial real estate, and commercial and industrial loans in Laser Pro software, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and structure approved by the Bank’s Loan Committees.
- Issue preliminary disclosures for consumer loans, when applicable.
- Order title work and flood determinations,
- Communicate with Loan Officers in obtaining necessary information to complete loan file and address closing conditions on approval.
- Examine documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate with attorneys to resolve any issues prior to closing.
- Coordinate loan closing with Loan Officer and title company.
- Complete required checklists for Loan Operations and Compliance.
- Communicate with Loan Operations on booking loans in Jack Henry system.
- Record and “perfect” collateral.
- Complete compliance training in a timely manner.
- Special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a banking environment, preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Confident self-starter and quick learner who requires minimal supervision and is comfortable with ambiguity.
- Exhibits a high level of responsiveness, sense of urgency, and passion for producing the best work possible.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Customer-service-oriented, detailed-oriented, and organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
