JOB SUMMARY

Provides division-wide support services for the operation and utilization of software applications and computer systems. Provides technical support for phones, computers, and peripherals. Ensures the Information Technology (IT) mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy are conveyed in each response.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Four (4) years of equivalent help desk support experience in a similar environment, size and scope, or an Associate's degree in an Information Technology field, plus two (2) years of equivalent help desk support experience in a similar environment, size, and scope.


Preferred Certifications: ITIL Foundations, A+, MCP, MCDT, CCNA, CCDA, Network+, Networking Essentials, MCSA, MCSE, or other equivalent certifications.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Coordinates planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT desktop products for the division.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and upgrades computer systems, servers, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral devices for performance and security-related issues.
  • Maintains and updates Microsoft Deployment and Print Servers, domain user, VoIP accounts, Alarm Lock, and exactVision for Security Cameras system.
  • Develops new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluates hardware and software for compatibility, provide quotes, and facilitate purchases for the end user.
  • Coordinates activities with network services, security, application, and infrastructure groups.
  • Performs troubleshooting and diagnostic routines to identify problems relating to hardware and software.
  • Installs and repairs computer hardware and software.
  • Identifies and resolves service incidents promptly and professionally; quickly escalates complex problems to other IT support teams when required.
  • Maintains technical documentation and IT Support Logs.
  • Educates users on desktop, online, remote (VPN) best practices regarding security, passwords and vulnerabilities.

Knowledge of:

    • Active Directory OU Management
    • Exchange Console (for email account tasks), POB applications
    • Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Web browsers, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Sign, wireless support peripherals, telecommunications.
    • Desktop and online security, County user applications

Additional Information:
Shift = Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. May vary depending on Division's needs.
Salary = $48,364.00 - $72,546.00 DOE
