OPPORTUNITY
Manages strategically to ensure a safe working environment is maintained, operation performance measures are exceeded, staff is developed and trained, personnel and human resources issues are dealt with equitably, cost are controlled, inventory is accurately maintained, and parts are maintained and in good working condition.
We are looking for a distribution center manager to build and drive a high-performance team to effectively deliver results. You will be responsible for all areas related to distribution including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
Manages all aspects of wholesale distribution center. This person will manage and oversee all employees in their respective distribution center. They will drive activities in order to obtain optimum productivity and accuracy and to maximize profits for the distribution center, the division to which they report, and the company. The DC Manager will also work collaboratively with the field sales organization to help drive profitable revenue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create a positive work environment though real-time observation and specific, constructive and actionable feedback
- Working with a sense of urgency will help ensure that ensure that operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed
- Recruits and hires employees that will help to serve the goals of the Distribution Center.
- Collaborates with field sales to increase share of market and obtain competitive position in industry through Independent Dealer Channel and Corporate Sales.
- Collaborates with Divisional Operations Managers to establish productivity measurements that will increase operational profitability.
- Analyzes capital requirements of distribution center and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Manages the Profit and Loss statements, budget, and expenses of distribution center to meet profitability requirements.
- Addresses logistical problems and furnishes solutions to these issues.
- Meets with other managers to confer about products, shipping times, and distribution issues, among many other concerns
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 - 10 years management experience within a high-volume distribution center
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others
- Strong problem-solving skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in operations, supply chain or logistics
- Management experience of a team of at least three direct reports, ultimately leading a team of 50+ team members
- High level of proficiency in Excel, data analysis, dropship, cost focus, customer interaction and WMS/ERP experience; PKMS a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage across teams and business functions
- Exceptional ability to organize time and resources effectively to determine priorities
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience overseeing budgets and expenses
- Self-starter with ability to identify and resolve problems independently.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
