We re Looking For
This position will report directly to the CEO and work closely with other leadership. We need a leader who will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, management and maintenance of corporate training and development services and initiatives.
What you ll Experience
Learning and Development
- Provide leadership to direct the development, implementation, administration, management and maintenance of company-wide training and development services
- Cultivate trust and respect with employees and be a professional and competent leader who seeks to advance the positive image of BMWC and the value of our employees
- At the direction of the associated department head, develop implement and manage specialized training and development initiatives (examples – boot camps, leadership programs)
- Partner with Human Resources to develop, implement and lead succession planning initiatives
- Partner with department leaders to improve development initiatives within their departments
- Serve as an active member of internal committees and task forces
- Manage curriculum development, instructional design, programming and delivery to ensure the general principles of learning and instruction are included (i.e. pre-and post-work), assignments, hands-on exercises and follow-up knowledge transfer
- Oversee and manage the ongoing development of and activities associated with top talent employees
- Provide guidance and training to credible and effective internal subject matter experts
- Conduct effective career counseling discussions with employees and mangers
- Embrace technological innovations and continuously refine programming to deliver in the most appropriate medium
- Keep current of innovations and developments in training and employee development and continuously apply those to BMWC s programs and initiatives
Innovation
- Support effective deployment of technology, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Leverage steering teams , committees, QAT s, etc. to implement advancement and improvement in all areas of the business
- Drive better performance by helping employees/departments move concepts to reality as it relates to technology, innovation, and continuous improvement
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor s degree is required with concentration in employee development/training, human resource, education.
Training certification is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive, professional experience in training and development roles and/or human resources
- MUST have at least 3 years of above in the construction industry
- Professional experience with multi-site employers and remote workforce management
- Outstanding presentation skills and leadership presence
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees – including differing skill sets, education and experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment
- Previous experience as a coach or mentor is a plus
Technology
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Technical aptitude to learn internal systems and required packages
Travel
Occasional overnight travel is required.

This is a highly visible and influential position which reports directly to the CEO. You will have frequent interaction with the Executive Leadership Team and Operations Leadership Teams, as well as, vendors, and all levels of internal and field staff.
