Position Overview:
The Director, Learning and Development role is responsible for leading a team of training specialists to assess current training programs for quality and effectiveness, determine future training needs, designs and implements effective methods to education and development of team members in the provision of quality of care to the individuals we serve.
DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops an integrated learning infrastructure that assures learning and development opportunities to equip employees and supervisors with skills needed now and in the future.
- Manages and implements required compliance training across the organization, such as, annual code of conduct training, federal and state required training
- Leads projects and programs with cross-organizational teams on needs assessment, design, development, implementation, reporting, and continuous improvement employee learning solutions.
- Develops implements and evaluates ongoing training programs; recommends and implements changes to increase effectiveness and relevancy.
- The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating live and virtual training courses for new hires and existing field force team members.
- Document and track all training deliverables and assess for content, compliance, and instructional design integrity and adjust as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop training paths that align with career ladders to ensure employee growth and development
- Prepares and presents executive summaries and reporting including at times performance management metrics, including overviews on key risks, talent and skill gaps.
- Collaborates with HR/business leaders on workflow and logistics necessary to deliver successful development programs and activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Adult Education, or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 3 years working in a training/learning and development leadership role.
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Performance Metrics and Measurement strategies.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written including presentation skills to
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. as well as utilization of LMS and HRIS applications.
- Ability to set, manage and meet deadlines.
