We are searching for an Associate Director to provide career coaching and employer outreach primarily for our students in our
Master of Product Management
(MSPM) program. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate industry knowledge and experience in support of primarily Tepper MSPM students and alumni. This role will work as part of a matrixed career services team, and serve as a key Career Coach and advocate for MSPM students and alumni. You will provide world-class services in support of all of our students’ success with top employers.
Are you passionate about helping graduate-level business students achieve their career goals? We are especially interested if you have direct or indirect experience with product management functions across industries such as technology, healthcare, consumer goods and others.
You core responsibilities will include:
  • Career Coaching: Providing career coaching and support to graduate students engaged in career exploration, professional development, internship and job search preparation and execution.
  • Employer Relations: Creating new and growing existing relationships with employers to recruit graduate level talent from the Tepper School of Business.
  • Program Management: Acting as a committee lead or liaison to facilitate cross-campus collaborative recruiting events, travel to meet with employers and attend relevant industry events. Act as departmental liaison to external key partners.
  • Project Management: Taking lead responsibility for managing the development and execution of student orientation programs, MCC workshops and other events to support students.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Engaging in tracking and reporting student employment outcomes following the MBA Career Services and Employer Alliance’s Standards. Using data to highlight outcomes, trends and making informed recommendations and decisions.

You should be able to travel domestically and (rarely) internationally and be willing to work outside of normal business hours as needed. The ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals at all levels within the University and our external partner organizations is required.
You should demonstrate:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management and planning skills.
  • Multicultural and global competency.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with business functions/industries commonly pursued by Tepper MSPM students.
  • Advanced computer skills and Microsoft Office expertise.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, database management/development, budget/forecasting and program development/management preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a matrixed team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience required, which can include corporate, higher education or a combination of relevant roles. Relevant industry experience or demonstrated familiarity with product management and related careers is strongly preferred.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
