This position is hybrid located at both Nashua and Manchester campuses but also with the flexibility to be offsite as well.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing is an essential role to advance the strategic marketing and communication plans for SolutionHealth, an integrated healthcare organization with two acute care hospitals, multiple outpatient centers, programs and services, 7,000+ employees, 1,000+ providers, and more than $550M in revenues each year. Reporting to the System Vice President of Marketing and Communications, the Director will lead all marketing functions and manage total marketing budgets over $3M, to support the business objectives of SolutionHealth and its member organizations, including but not limited to, Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs the development of marketing strategy for distinct business units, programs, providers, and service lines of SolutionHealth and its member organizations. Leads discussions with leadership across the System to understand goals and competitive positioning in order to ensure marketing priorities, strategies, tactics and resources are appropriately aligned.
  • Directs and develops strategies for brand/image awareness, reputation, and maintenance, internally and externally, for all brands within the health system.
  • Leads the SolutionHealth marketing team; developing and improving operations to create optimal performance levels to support articulated goals within approved budget.
  • Drives team performance to meet and exceed performance targets with accountability for achieving expected results.
  • Supports and mentors team members, to optimize each individual s performance and engagement; provides opportunities and guidance for growth and development.
  • Provides oversight of team of freelancers/contract writers, designers, editors, photographers, videographers, and consultants.
  • Manages budgets totaling over $3M, ensuring adequate support for local entities strategic marketing needs and leveraging efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Develops and implements integrated strategic marketing plans to support growth for assigned service lines and programs, building targeted engagement strategies that utilize a full spectrum of traditional, digital and new communications channels.
  • Analyzes strategic planning data and insights and patient survey/customer feedback and spearheads marketing research to understand key market dynamics, trends and competition that will drive marketing strategy.
  • Oversees and negotiates vendor contracts to maximize resources and best enhance acquisition and engagement tools.
  • With the System VP of Marketing & Communications, oversees strategic evolution of the website properties of SolutionHealth and its member organizations to drive patient acquisition, patient engagement, and brand loyalty.
  • Maintains strategic focus that aligns plans and programs with key performance metrics, responsiveness and budgets; Develops quantitative forecasts of expected campaign results ensuring that campaign tactics are measurable.
  • With the System VP of Marketing & Communications, effectively communicates marketing strategy, rationale, and plans to wide audiences, including senior leadership to foster support for marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Contributes strategy and support for provider and clinical recruitment, ensuring brand integrity and alignment with marketing efforts and engagement strategies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Understands and can effectively communicate marketing strategy, rationale and plans.
  • Can effectively manage and delegate staff to support efficient and productive deliverables consistent with plans and budget.
  • Creates and manages dashboards to evaluate performance of campaigns and optimizations or plan accordingly.
  • Leading and contributing as a director to brand, reputation, and patient experience, at all forums/meetings that impact the brand/image of all entities representing SolutionHealth (as required or invited).
  • Collaborates with the Director of Communications to coordinate and integrate marketing and communications teams in support of campaign objectives.
  • Collaborates closely with Community Engagement, Philanthropy and HR teams to assure true strategic and operational integration that optimizes resources, talent and priorities/goals.
  • Must have a passion for creativity, meeting goals and leading an effective team.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Minimally Required: Bachelor s degree
  • Preferred: Master s degree

Licensure/certification:

  • Required: Valid driver s license

Experience:

  • Minimally Required: 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience leading a range of marketing functions including strategy, campaign development and execution
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience, including staff and/or agency management
  • Innovation and creativity to create brand new strategies that attract customers. Knowledge of best practices and trends across digital channels including social media, chatbots, ecommerce, websites, digital advertising, CRM, marketing automation, etc.

Skills:

  • Minimally Required: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills (across all disciplines, including with digital, press releases, etc.). Strong leadership, organization and media management skills
